Chez Nibs Chocolates & Confections features a delightful collection of bonbons, snacks, pastries, desserts, hot chocolate, and the original Les Madeleines kouign amann – a crowd favorite in Salt Lake City and around the world.

Chez Nibs is named after owner Romina Rasmussen’s beloved cat Nibs, who happened to be named after cocoa nibs.

About owner and chef Romina Rasmussen

A luminary in the culinary world and a Utah native, Rasmussen trained at the esteemed French Culinary Institute in New York, she refined her artistry at Mesa Grill in NYC and Azul in Mandarin Oriental Miami.

In 2003, she unveiled Les Madeleines, a pioneering bakery that introduced gourmet cupcakes, macarons, and the coveted Kouign Amann to Utah. Though Les Madeleines bid adieu in 2022, Chef Romina’s return in 2023 brought forth Chez Nibs, a downtown SLC haven for fine chocolates, where butter and Kouign Amann remain perennial delights. Her culinary narrative exemplifies a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation, marking her as a maestro in the realm of desserts.
